At Harmony Day Spa we needed to find a make-up brand that we felt was complementary to skin care. Our primary objective is to assist people of all ages and ethnicity to have the best skin they can and to this end we did not want to either use or sell make-up that didn’t fit with our core beliefs.

When Jane Iredale started her product range some twenty five years ago her main aim with the brand was that it had to be ‘clean’ and by that she meant had to be free of any ingredients that she felt could be harmful to either skin or health. That meant she had to find alternative preservatives to those parabens which are commonly used. She removed any talc and synthetic fragrance ingredients which can cause irritation to the skin.

Jane Iredale was the first company to introduce a range of mineral cosmetics, many others have since followed her lead. As they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!
